The Old Hundred Gold Mine Tour - Train Connection Package is designed to allow riders of the Durango & Silverton Narrow Gauge Train to visit the Old Hundred Gold Mine Tour without needing a car. Tour package includes transportation to the mine from Silverton via San Juan Backcountry Tours mini-bus service, guided underground mine tour, gold panning, and an optional picnic box lunch, The mini-bus service connects directly with the Durango & Silverton Narrow Gauge Railroad's 9:30 bus departure from the Durango Depot to Silverton returning by steam train back to Durango. San Juan Backcountry's mini-bus service does not connect to other train arrival or departure times.

Connects to the "8:15 Train" via the D&SNGRR 9:30 a.m. Bus to Silverton.
Price :Package price includes transportation from Silverton to the Old Hundred Gold Mine Tour and return, guided mine tour, and gold panning. Picnic box lunch is available for an extra charge and will be provided by the tour driver upon your arrival in Silverton, but must be ordered at the time of purchase and reservation. Covered picnic area is available at the mine tour.

PAYMENT, RESERVATIONS & CANCELLATIONS
Payment for the Mine Tour - Train Connection Package and lunch must be made in full at the time reservation is made, see below.
Reservations Space is limited so make your reservations early, particularly for peak season which runs mid-June to mid-August. To make package reservations by phone, call San Juan Backcountry Tours toll free at 1-800-494-8687 or (970) 387-5565. Tickets will be mailed for reservations made two weeks in advance or more, or confirmed by e-mail or FAX if reservations are made less than two weeks in advance. Reservations made less than 72 hours in advance will be confirmed via telephone or FAX. Prepayment is required for all Mine Tour Train Connection Package tickets. Visa and MasterCard accepted.
Cancellations. Reservations will be held for 24 hours at no charge to allow train reservations to be confirmed. Reservations canceled any time before two weeks of departure will be subject to a minimal 5% cancellation service fee. Reservation canceled two weeks to 48 hours before departure will be subject to a 25% cancellation fee. Reservations canceled less than 48 hours prior to departure date shall be non-refundable. Reservations may be changed up to 48 hours prior to departure at no charge but will be on a space available basis.
Durango & Silverton Narrow Gauge Railroad

or from San Juan Backcountry, 800-494-8687. The railroad's standard terms and conditions will apply. The 9:30 Bus/Train Combo ticket requires passengers to return on the 2:00 p.m. steam train leaving Silverton. If you want more time in Silverton, ask to return on the train departing at 2:45 p.m. or 3:30 p.m. Please check railroad schedule for dates and times before booking.
In the event the Durango & Silverton Narrow Gauge Railroad changes their operating schedule, departure and/or arrival times. or services provided, the Mine Tour - Train Connection Package schedules may be changed without notice to accommodate the railroad's operating schedule or requirements.
